My first sugar based motors were made from pvc pipe and fittings, with anchoring cement cast in the pipe for the nozzle. While pvc based motors are inexpensive, they have notable drawbacks.
One of my ultimate goals, is to make a long burn sugar motor. While there are other propellants that are more suited to long burns, I still like the inexpensive and locally available chemicals in KNSU motors. Steel motors are also just a natural progression. I fully expect at some time in the future to move to the more conventional aluminum casing motors, but, that remains in the future.
